    Steps To know how  To Use Google Play gift card

    When a person purchases the gift card, it is very necessary to know how to use it. The cards can be easily redeemed on phones, tablets and PCs. Here are the steps:

    Open Google Play Store on your Android device.
    You will see three line button left corner of you screen just click on it.
    Now, tap on Redeem.
    Now, key in the 16-digit code you find after you scratch the “SCRATCH TO REVEAL” strip on the gift card.
    Tap on REDEEM and then tap on CONFIRM.

    On a PC, the process is quite similar but you will have to go to https://play.google.com/store before you follow the above steps. Also, remember that you should be logged in with the Google account whose Wallet you intend to add the money on to.

    After you have confirmed that the current Google account indeed is the intended correct account, the value of the card is added to your account. Remember that this value can not be used to buy physical things such as devices and accessories in the Play Store(“cannot be redeemed for Android app subscriptions, magazine subscriptions, or hardware and accessory purchases”) , this can only be used to buy digital content.

    Also to remember is that the Google Play gift cards can not be sent electronically over email. Now this may seem like a disadvantage, given that iTunes and the Amazon store have allowed this since their very inception, but you may be thankful that this rather protects your kids’ IAP infested accounts from abuse.

    One big problem when using Google Play gift cards is that you can not use them to purchase music on the popular music streaming website Spotify, which is very popular with teenagers and millennials and has seen a spate of artists releasing their albums on Spotify instead of the traditional way. So if you teenager may want to use the money in his Google Wallet to buy music, you should keep this mind. Spotify has its own gift cards that you can also use though.
