    How To Enable And Disable Subtitles For Movies And TV Shows In Kodi

    Subtitle is the Text(Word, Phrase or Sentence) either in the same language that the person is speaking on TV or translated into different language and then displayed at the bottom of the screen. Subtitle helps you to understand what person is speaking on the TV or if the person on TV is speaking the language that you don’t understand then you can add the subtitle in your own language and that will display the text on the screen that you will understand.

    Follow the below instructions to Enable Subtitles in Kodi:

    01. From main screen of Kodi click on System

    02. Click on Video and select Subtitles

    03. Click on Preferred Subtitle Language and the window will popup on the screen

    04. Click on English or the language you prefer

    05. Now scroll down and click on Languages to download subtitles for

    06. Click on English or the language you prefer

    07. Now scroll down and click on Default TV Show Service

    08. Click on Get more and you will get list of Subtitle services

    09. Now scroll down and click on OpenSubtitles.org which is the best one but you can also choose other services

    10. Once you will click on OpenSubtitles.org it will start installing

    11. You can do same for the Movies, click on Default Movie Service

    12. Click on OpenSubtitles.org

    13. Now when you will play the Movie or TV Shows in Kodi you need to pause it by pressing the Pause button at the left bottom of the screen

    14. Click on the Rectangle Icon at the right bottom of the screen

    15. Click on Download and it will start searching for Subtitles

    15. Now you can see the list of subtitles, select the one which has been rated good and download it.

    16. Now resume the Movie or TV Show by pressing the Pause button again and you will be able to see the subtitle at the bottom of the screen

    Note: If the Subtitle is out of Sync that is the voice of the person speaking on TV doesn’t match the Subtitle(text on the screen) then click on Rectangle icon again, click on Subtitle Offset and adjust the Slider which you can see at the top of screen till the Subtitle Sync is achieved

    Now if you want to disable Subtitles then follow the below instructions to Disable Subtitles in Kodi:

    01. From main screen of Kodi click on System

    02. Click on Video and select Subtitles

    03. Click on Preferred Subtitle Language and the window will popup on the screen with different options
